Fairview Show Apartment

FV Lounge.jpg

This project was to design a show apartment built by Fairview Homes.  There were no restrictions on this design, I was able to create any kind of aesthetic, style or colour scheme I wanted within their floor plan.  The design I produced is a mixture of traditional prints and fabrics combined with a more contemporary style, which I felt would be suitable for a wide variety of clients, as mass appeal is an important consideration when designing a show home.

Bathroom

The main bathroom is decorated with Art Deco style tiles in warm peach and cream shades.  White fixtures and fittings combined with gold taps and accessories give an opulent feel.  Keeping colours and pattern minimal and subtle ensure the space feels uncluttered and stylish.

Bedroom

The main bedroom is in crisp fresh blue and teal shades, with white panelling to the walls and white wooden furnishings.  Flooring is a rich dark wood. The style is contemporary and comfortable.

Kitchen

The kitchen/diner has fashionable grey cabinets with wooden worktops. Brass accessories create warmth and colour.  Wooden flooring with inset patterned tiles and William Morris print wallpaper and sofa give the space a traditional and cosy feel.  There is ample seating and storage in the kitchen for families and entertaining.

Lounge

The lounge is decorated in on trend shades of pink and lilac.  A gold edged mirror and occasional tables add a luxurious feel, and the curved chairs are appealing and slightly vintage in appearance, blending with the style of print used in the wallpaper and window blind.

En-Suite

The ensuite is very fresh and clean, with lemon tree print wallpaper, pale green walls and patterned tiles in the shower cubicle.  The black metal shower screen, taps and accessories, combined with dark wood flooring give a vintage feel to this contemporary design.
