Anything Goes! cocktail bar

This project was based on a previous 2nd Year assignment and was a competition entry for The National Design Award. I was delighted to be shortlisted for this competition.
The brief was to create a design for a commercial property with an outside area. The property has bifolding doors separating the indoor and outdoor areas, but was otherwise a blank space. I designed a cocktail bar with a glamorous 1920's Art Deco style.

Moodboard
At least 50% of the decor of the building had to use Dulux colour of the year, 'Tranquil Dawn'. I combined this with gold Art Deco screens, textured green wallpaper, gold based tables and bar stools with zebra print fabric. Wooden flooring combined with tiled and marble areas edged in a gold trim add to the opulent feel. I designed the name and logo for the bar based on the Cole Porter song, 'Anything Goes' from the Art Deco era.
Interior Views

Decals of the bar's logo adorn the walls. There is a choice of seating, including bar stools, booths and comfortable sofas looking out onto the outside terrace. The feel is glamorous, light and spacious.
Exterior Views
The bifold doors lead out a decked area with poseur tables and overhead glass canopies. Steps lead down to a paved area with tables and chairs, and beyond this, outdoor sofas and tables. Railings surround the area and box hedges at the rear create a private feel to the terrace.
